Project Overview

Runok is a modern Web Agency WordPress theme designed and developed for digital agencies, creative studios, IT companies, marketing agencies, development teams, and personal portfolios. I was involved in developing the theme as a complete commercial WordPress product, focusing on both its visual experience and technical foundation.

The project was built around a flexible Elementor-based system with a strong responsive foundation using Bootstrap. I developed reusable components, custom Elementor widgets, multiple homepage layouts, header and footer variations, and customization options to make the theme flexible enough for different types of agency websites.

As the theme evolved, I continued expanding and improving it with new layouts, features, compatibility updates, and usability improvements. The theme has grown into a commercially successful product on ThemeForest, with 300+ sales and continued updates over time.

Challenge

The biggest challenge with Runok was creating a flexible WordPress system that could support many different agency websites without making the theme feel repetitive or difficult to customize.

Instead of building every page as a separate design, I focused on creating reusable Elementor widgets and a structured component system that could be combined in different ways. This allowed users to create unique layouts while keeping the overall design language consistent.

Another important challenge was maintaining the theme as a long-term commercial product. New WordPress and Elementor versions, browser changes, customer requirements, and additional features required continuous testing and updates after the initial release.

  • Created flexible widgets with customization options for different use cases.
  • Maintained responsive behavior across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
  • Added RTL support and a Light Version while preserving the existing design system.
  • Continuously updated the theme for newer WordPress and Elementor versions.

Results

Runok became one of my strongest commercial WordPress theme projects, reaching more than 300 sales on ThemeForest and continuing to receive updates and improvements over time.

The theme now provides a broad set of tools for creating agency and portfolio websites, including multiple homepage layouts, 50+ custom Elementor widgets, nine header variations, four footer variations, one-click demo import, RTL support, and a Light Version.

Beyond the sales, Runok gave me valuable experience in developing and maintaining a commercial WordPress product—from architecture and reusable component development to customer-focused improvements, compatibility updates, and long-term product maintenance.
